This guys the son of Steve Earle so it's a name that's going to be tough to carry around. As is often the way when a son walks in his fathers footsteps. Which is possibly why in his early teens Justin got into some seriously hard times with a drug habit that had completely taken over by age 22.
Even so during his twenties Justin was cleaning himself up enough to produce his early recordings and live tours. In 2011 he played a quite brilliant set at the Cambridge Folk Festival and is still a heavy touring musician. That may well be his salvation. If this man lives through the tough times that will inevitably dog an ex-addict he's going to make some exceptional music. A natural born blues singer and guitarist.
