A groundbreaking metal band formed in America in 1991, Nevermore are known to incorporate elements from many styles of metal into their music. Low tuned guitars and fast paced riffs are familiar to a large part of Nevermore's songs, however they are also known to use progressive and neo-classical techniques along with wide vocal ranges to make up their unique sound.
In April 2011 Jeff Loomis, the band's modern day guitar virtuoso, and drummer Van Williams quit the band. Singer, Warrel Dane, has announced that the band is not dead but Nevermore's fate remains unknown.
