"The great Hound Dog Taylor story I heard was when he was sitting in with The Bob Reidy Blues Band. They were a local white band that backed up a lot of the blues players around Chicago.. Hound dog plugged into the guitar player's Twin? Reverb and hit a few licks whils one warming up. He then told his "valet" to go get his amp from the car 'cause "this one don't bite". The valet returned with a Twin that had shredded speaker cones. He was then able to get "his" sound..."
