Following his departure from Dream Theater, drummer Mike Portnoy has continued with various music projects. One of these projects is the new band Adrenaline Mob, where Portnoy has teamed up with Russell Allen from Symphony X, Mike Orlando and members of the band Fozzy. The band released an ep in August this year with the line up of Mike Portnoy on drums, Russell Allen on vocals, Mike Orlando and Rich Ward on guitars and Paul DiLeo on bass.

Dream Theater are now on tour with their 11th studio album, A Dramatic Turn of Events, the first album since drummer and founding memeber Mike Portnoy left the band in late 2010. Dream Theater held auditions for seven world class drummers in order to find a replacement for Portnoy. The position was eventually given to Mike Mangini, who had previously worked with singer James LaBrie as well Steve Vai and metal band Annihilator.
Dream Theater's live shows have become notable for their impressive musical performances as well as incorporating many other well known songs or artists into the shows. Some of the most famous, which can now be found as official bootlegs, are their perfomances of The Dark Side of the Moon, The Number of The Beast, and Master of Puppets.
Here is the track Bridges In The Sky taken from the new album, with the introduction Dream Is Collapsing by Hans Zimmer taken from the film Inception.
