Co-founder and drummer of The Stooges, Scott Asheton died on Saturday 15th.
And with this news both Asheton brothers are now no longer with us. Ron died in 2009. Together the Asheton's were the heart and engine that powered one of the most recognised and raw rock bands there's ever been. With the combined sound of Ron's buzzsaw guitar and the hard driving power of Scott's drumming they virtually set the template for what was later to become punk rock. They'll be no others quite like the Asheton's.
