Comedian and musician Bill Bailey's humorous series on 70's prog rock legends first shown on UK television as a lead up to his one man show in 2003.
Although the program featured Bill's take on prog rock in general, his live stage show parodies these to a greater extent, the TV program seemed to be put together from a general documentary on progressive music of the seventies, mainly consisting of short biog pieces on the major artists of the day eg. Camel, King Crimson, ELP, Yes, and Jethro Tull, with Bailey's filmed sequences edited in afterwards. The main commentary is not as you'd think Bill himself but the voice of radio DJ Mark Radcliffe.
All of the documentary can be seen on YouTube in parts 1-7. (search : Bill Bailey's Top Ten Prog Rock)
Here's Part 2 - the section on Hawkwind and the slightly less authentic prog of Rush at the end, but worth a watch for the consistently hilarious Hawkwind members who reminisce about the70's.
