AllMusic - "a throwback to the classic rock of the '70s"
A somewhat unlikely name for a power trio from Story City, Iowa, Radio Moscow have released 4 albums since 2003 their latest being last year.
Bass players and drummers have come and gone but the mainstay and founder Parker Griggs is the driving force to the guitar and songs.
The band call it "Psychedelic-Blues music for your soul" so inevitable comparisons with Cream and Hendrix are pointlessly bandied about, and then there are all those that describe them as 'Stoner Rock'. Stuck with labels and comparisons is not an enviable position,
but it is more underground rock than most out there so those that dig it know about it.
The lineup
Parker Griggs – vocals, guitars, drums, percussion (2003–present)
Billy Ellsworth – bass (2012–present)
Paul Marrone – live drums (2010, 2012–present)
Here's them playing Rocher Palmer (Bordeaux) in January this year... and all in 3D.
Those without the required glasses won't be missing too much, it's 3 guys on a stage.. you know how that works.
