The first up on 2013 is a four-track ep that just grew and grew..
FdM asked artists old and new what The Hollies would have sounded like if they'd spent more time East of Darlington, Graham Nash hadn't packed his kaftan and left for the West Coast and EMI had given them all unlimited time in Abbey Road, unlimited quantities of drugs and unlimited access to Norman Smith - the results might not sound much like that - but it was a start-point...

Soft Hearted Scientists somehow manage to combine Syd Barrett, sixties psychedelia, British music-hall, gothic horror, Welsh folklore and about 93 other influences. It was supposed to be a a single album but just couldn't get it down to less than 95 minutes of music, so it's turned into a double album + 7" ep. It's taken nearly a year to come together, 'Whatever Happened To The Soft Hearted Scientists' combines the best of their CD releases to-date, together with a title track specially recorded for this release.
