Wylde started playing guitar at 14 years old, and had a lucky break and achieved almost instant fame when he became the new guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne at only 20 years old. As well as having a successful career as Ozzy's guitarist until 2009, Wylde has had great success with his own band Black Label Society as well as collaborating with many other musicians. Wylde was also good friends with Pantera and Damage Plan guitarist Dimebag Darrell, and has a song which is almost always included in a Black Label Society set which he dedicates to Dimebag Darrel. Wylde is known for his blues and country influences in his playing style, with his first album Pride and Glory, having more of a Southern country rock vibe to it. Here is a great live acoustic version of the track Machine Gun Man from that album.
