He is, what you might call, the complete outsider. He's self released over 400, yes 400 !, albums of his music since 1966. They're on cassette, CD-R, home videos and have been distributed through his Cassette Club.
R.Stevie Moore is the ultimate lo-fi producer. One search on the net and you'll find free downloads, releases and YouTube videos. In 2011 he made his first ever tour, including Europe. This month a CD compilation, if that's at all possible to compile his best songs from so many recordings on one single cd but it's called "Lo Fi High Fives.. A Kind Of Best Of".
What can you say about his music. He plays just about every style possible. The best thing is check them out for yourself. But first have a listen to Stevie explain it all himself in an amusing 2009 interview. He may well inspire many more to follow his one man band or start there own.
