American Head Charge are an industrial band that came out of the nu-metal era at the turn of the millenium. The band have released a couple of succesful albums, the most succesful of these being 2001's The War of Art. After signing to American Records in 2000, American Head Charge started touring with big names such as Slayer, Slipknot and Chimaira. On their final show of the Pledge of Allegiance Tour, guitarist Dave Rogers played the entire performance naked, leading to his arrest after the show.
As with so many bands, following their signing to a major label and a couple of albums, they were plagued by drug problems with three members becoming dependant on drugs and going into rehab. Further to this, in April 2005, guitarist Bryan Ottoson died after overdosing on prescription drugs at the cursed age of 27. The band continued and released a DVD/CD combo in 2007 which followed with a tour but the last night of this tour would be the band's last performance although they didnt officially announce the end of the band until 2009.
In July of last year it was announced on social networking sites that the band was to reform. They have confirmed they are currently working on an EP, of which the first single was released last month.
