Formed in Sweden in 1996, Arch Enemy are a band known not only for the twin guitar work of brother Michael and Christopher Amott but also for having that 'scary little blonde woman' that sings. Originally put together with a male vocalist and members of other influential death metal bands of the ninteties, Arch Enemy found themselves even more popular when female vocalist Angela Gossow took over the singing duties in 2000 showing many of the male vocalists of the genre how it should be done!
Arch Enemy have gone on to become one of the most impressive bands coming from the Scandinavian death metal scene with the ability to mix full on aggression with melody and technical ability. The band released their ninth album in 2011 and are continuing to tour over the coming year, however Christopher Amott decided to leave the band for a second time in March 2012 with American guitarist Nick Cordle replacing him in the band.
