felix pappalardi

Felix Pappalardi was one of the great bass players. Turned his hand to occasionally producing recordings as well, and as it turned out only on two of the most successful Cream albums, 'Disraeli Gears' and 'Wheels of Fire.' This man new about creating power sound.
In 1967 Pappalardi worked as a session player for Tim Rose on his raw emotion drenched folk album of the same name, again adding the unmistakable power to several tracks on Rose's first album.
He didn't play on this track though, Rose's first hit in 1967, but it is from the same LP and it is also the song best known as Jimi Hendrix's first single, "Hey Joe (You shot your woman down)".
On 17th April 1983, Felix Pappalardi didn't shoot his woman down. She shot him.
Dead.
