White Zombie are an American heavy metal band named after the 1930's horror movie of the same name. The band was founded by vocalist Rob Zombie in the mid 80's, but did not reach the prime of their career until the early to mid 90's. White Zombie's music is largely influenced by Rob Zombie's interest in horror movies, with the themes of most songs based around fantasy or horror and the style of music somewhere between hard rock and industrial.
White Zombie split up in 1998 after Rob Zombie released his first solo album, and would then continue with a succesful career built on a similar style of music to that of White Zombie.
