December 30th 2003, Cris Kirkwood of punk band Meat Puppets gets into an argument with a woman over a parking space at a post office in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. A security guard then gets involved and Kirkwood grabs the guards baton and hits him with it. The guard then shoots Kirkwood in the back and he ends up in hospital. On pleading guilty to assault with a deadly weapon he's then sentanced to 21 months bird. While inside at the Federal Correctional Institution in Phoenix, he meets Jerry Posin, ex Steppenwolf drummer, and they start a band in prison.
Unsurprisingly, no recordings of the bands performance exist.
